Database Archiving to Improve Performance and Reduce Storage Costs

Data is the lifeblood of any organization, but too much data can slow application performance and tax IT resources. Utilizing database archiving to actively manage the growth of application data is critical to managing data for it to be valuable to an organization.
Database archiving restores application performance up to 50% by relocating inactive data from a production database to a secure online data archive. Database archiving automates the archive-and-purge process by offloading underutilized data from the production environment and ensuring good operational performance during heavy load times such as quarter-end. By deploying data archiving, organizations maintain performance and reduce the IT burden of large data sets.
This presentation will discuss the challenges of large databases and the benefits customers can expect by implementing a data retention policy and automating the policy with a database archiving solution.
