Dobrodošli na 15. HrOUG konferenciju. Da dragi moji, 15-ta! Vjerujem da je vrlo malo današnjih sudionika konferencije bilo sudionik Lovrana 1995. kada nas se prvu večer konferencije dvadesetak hrabrih okupilo oko šanka i kada smo imali budžet prve večeri dostatan za rundu točene pive i tri pizze. Usprkost malenog budžeta, službeni nam se fotograf tako napio da sa te konferencije nemamo niti jednu sliku jer mu je dva dana bilo zlo. Prošli smo od tih početaka dug put, pun lijepih uspomena.
Ovogodišnja konferencija održava se prvi puta na Crvenom otoku i nadamo se da će vam se ovogodišnja lokacija svidjeti.
Ponosni smo na stručni program sa čak 100 predavanja, nastup 6 Oracle Ace predavača, 15 stranih predavača iz 7 zemalja, kao i nastup najboljih hrvatskih predavača vezanih uz Oracle tehnologiju i aplikacije.

Abstract
Welcome to 15 HrOUG conference. Yes my dear, 15-th! I believe that very few of today's conference participants were in Lovran 1995th. On the first night of the conference, twenty brave gathered around the bar and organizer had budget just for the one round of beers on tap and three pizzas. We had official photographer, too, but he was so drunk that we don’t have any picture from the conference because he was sick two days. We passed from the beginning a long way full of nice memories.
This year's conference will be held for the first time at Red Island, and we hope that you will like this year's location.
We are proud of the Agenda with up to 6 Oracle Ace sepakers, 15 speakers from 7 countries, as well as the performance of the best Croatian speakers related to Oracle technology and applications.

Iako su u poslovanju i poslovnom odlučivanju neophodni kvalitetni podaci odnosno informacije, njihova kvaliteta se rijetko mjeri, a isto tako rijetko se poduzimaju projekti unaprjeđenja njihove kvalitete. Glavni je razlog neegzaktnost, nedefiniranost, nestandardnost i nedostatak najbolje prakse za mjerenje kvalitete podataka odnosno informacija. Članak razmatra karakteristike kvalitete podataka odnosno informacija, te diskutira karakteristike kvalitete koje su primjenljive pri promatranju podataka odnosno informacija kao proizvoda, kao i karakteristike primjenljive pri promatranju podataka odnosno informacija kao usluge. Opisuje način mjerenja ili ocjenjivanja karakteristika kvalitete. Ukazuje na potrebu poduzimanja projekata mjerenja i unaprjeđenja kvalitete podataka odnosno informacija.
Measuring the quality of data and information
Business activities and business decision-making require quality data/information. Nevertheless its quality is rarely measured. Data/information quality is inexact science. Also, there are no accepted standards or best practices for measuring data/information quality. The article discusses the quality characteristics of data/information seen as a product and quality characteristics of data/information seen as a service. It describes methods of measurement or evaluation of mentioned quality characteristics; and points out the necessity of undertaking projects to improve the data/information quality. -

Danas uz materijalne i financijske resurse, i znanje sve više postaje prepoznato kao važan čimbenik uspješnosti. Jedan od problema proizlazi iz činjenice da znanstvenici često dijele upravljanje znanjem na dva područja, jedno koje je orijentirano ljudima i intelektualnom kapitalu, i drugo koje je orijentirano tehnologiji. Zato je cilj ovog rada definirati i analizirati kritične čimbenike uspješnosti upravljanja znanjem i mjerenja upravljanja znanjem u organizacijama. Osim toga, rad je usmjeren identifikaciji i sistematizaciji informacijske tehnologije kao važnog čimbenika upravljanja znanjem. U radu su prikazani rezultati istraživanja o upravljanju znanjem u hrvatskim kompanijama i ulozi informacijske tehnologije u upravljanju znanjem.
The role of information technology and other factors in Knowledge Management
Abstract
It is obvious that knowledge is today becoming the most important factor of production, next to material and financial resources. The general problem is that the researches split knowledge management (KM) into two trains of thought: the first one is found to be more people-oriented, while the second one is more technology-oriented. Therefore the main goal of this paper is to define and analyze critical success factors (CSF) that form a good measure of KM. Besides, the focus of this paper is oriented toward the role of information technology (IT) in KM. IT as the main component of KM is defined, systemized and examined. Finally, the actual state of KM in Croatian companies and the role of IT in KM is identified and analyzed. -

U današnjem mnoštvu informacijskih sustava tvrtke sve veću pozornost posvećuju zaštiti podataka. Zadovoljavajuća sigurnost sustava također je jedan od ključnih uvjeta poslovanja. Često je moguće da relevantne povjerljive informacije procure u javnost, što samo smanjuje ugled tvrtke. Najveću opasnost pri tome predstavljaju vanjski neovlašteni upadi i zloupotreba ovlasti zaposlenih. Revizijski tragovi postali su nezamjenjiv alat inženjera i revizora koji brinu o sigurnosti sustava. Upotreba revizijskih tragova treba uvjeriti revizore u točnost podataka i pravilno funkcioniranje sigurnosnog sustava.
U prezentaciji ćemo pokazati kako doći do dobrih revizijskih tragova i kako smo implementirali skladištenje revizijskih tragova u zračnoj luci Ljubljana.

As most developers know the PL/SQL function library is very comprehensive and there are packages for almost every task a developer has to accomplish.
But there are still requirements for which no PL/SQL package is avaliable - examples are:
* Retrieve directory listings from the database server's filesystem
* Create or Unpack ZIP archives
* Retrieving Mails from a IMAP or POP3 server
* Transferring LOB data from a remote database
The presentation shows how the database-internal JVM can be used in order to accomplish these tasks. The JVM will be introduced, the differences between the database JVM and a "normal" JVM and finally an example how to create a java stored procedure and access it from SQL and PL/SQL will be shown. -

Oracle EBS i igre na sreću u Hrvatskoj Lutriji
Cilj prezentacije je, kroz primjere, prikazati integraciju Oracle EBS sustava i korisničkog sustava ONLINE za prodaju igara na sreću.ONLINE sustav je razvila informatika Hrvatske Lutrije kao sustav evidencije prodaje lutrijskih proizvoda–igara na sreću. Transakcije iz ONLINE-a se svakodnevno automatizmom prenose u EBS-u (u tzv. SKP – salda konti prodavača) sa svim podacima potrebnim za praćenje poslovanja. Zanimljivo je da je SKP implementiran kroz modul Glavne knjige EBS-a. Kroz modul Glavne knjige implementirane su dvije poslovne knjige; analitička knjiga koja služi za evidenciju analitike poslovanja HL-a i glavna knjiga u koju se standardnom funkcionalnošću (konsolidacijom) prenose sumarna knjiženja iz SKP-a.

Scope of this presentation is to give you an overview of Oracle EBS system integration with customers system for managing sale of games of chance: ONLINE. ONLINE application was originally created by Croatian Lottery’s IT as a system for processing sale of lottery’s products which are various games of chance.Transaction from ONLINE system are daily transferred to EBS (Seller's Accounts Receivables–SKP) in an automated way and hold all the data which is required for maintaining daily business processing.Two books are implemented through the General Ledger(GL) module: analytical book used to record Croatian Lottery business analytics and GL which uses the standard functionality (consolidation) to transmit summary posting from SKP. -

U okviru predavanja korisnici će se upoznati s procesom nabave u Oracle E-Business Suite-u te načinima na koje je moguće kroz standardni modul Nabave podržati proces javne nabave. Zbog specifičnosti Hrvatskog Zakona o javnoj nabavi, standardna funkcionalnost nije dovoljna za obveznike Zakona i nužna je prilagodba standardnog rješenja. Zahvaljujući svojoj fleksibilnosti, EBS na jednostavan način omogućava proširenje standardne funkcionalnosti da se podrži praćenje procesa javne nabave u skladu sa Zakonom, na način da se kroz opisna fleks polja (bez programiranja, kroz setup aplikacije) omogući unos podataka koji nedostaju u standardnom rješenju. Koristeći nadogradnje izvještajnog sustava (u XML tehnologiji) podržani su propisani obrasci.
Public procurement in Oracle EBS
Abstract:
This session will focus on Purchasing process in Oracle E-Business Suite, particularly on the process of public procurement. Due to the specifics of the Croatian Public Procurement Law, standard EBS functionality does not cover all the requirements and it is necessary to make certain modifications to standard solution. Thanks to its flexibility, EBS allows extending the standard functionality to enable entry of the data missing in the standard process by adding descriptive flexfields. The extensions are done in a simple manner through setup of the application and no additional programming is needed. Using new reports made in XML technology, this new data is in turn used to generate forms that are prescribed by the law. -

Abstract
Oracle E-Business Suite implementation can be done without any standards or guidelines. This way of implementation, although in short term possibly more efficient, leads to chaos, higher maintenance cost, less stable system and additional problems during upgrade to new releases.
To avoid this situation, there is a set of implementation standards that can be followed. The lecture will include best practices for creating and transferring setup, environment management, customizations development and deployment, document management etc. It is intended for all participants of former, ongoing and future EBS projects, for implementers as well as customers. -

Thin@ je specijalizirano rješenje za brz razvoj poslovnih aplikacija koje se nude kao usluga putem interneta. Ideja je da za razvoj poslovnih aplikacija koristimo visoko produktivan 4GL programski jezik koji automatski generira dijelove izvornog koda i time značajno ubrzava programiranje, a da korisnik za prezentacijski sloj može birati između izgledom klasične OOB aplikacije, OOB Java aplikacije ili pak Java Applet Web aplikacije. Ova tehnologija usporediva je sa Adobe AIR, Oracle JavaFx odnosno MS Silverlight thin client rješenjima, s tim što je usko specijalizirana, koristi visoko produktivan RAD alat i nudi integrirano SaaS rješenje.

Thin@ is a specialized Rapid SaaS Business Internet Application Development solution. It evolved as a blend of some of the latest technologies for business application development such as SaaS, BIA and RAD. The idea is that for business application development we use a highly productive 4GL which automatically generates parts of the source code and therefore significantly accelerates programming. For the presentation layer the end user can choose between a classic OOB application, an OOB Java application or a Java Applet Web application. This technology is comparable to Adobe AIR, Oracle JavaFx and MS Silverlight thin client solutions, the major differences being that it is highly specialized, highly productive and has integrated SaaS support. -

Ideja projekta je iskoristiti alternativne tehnologije za korisničko sučelje (konkretno Adobe Flex tehnologiju), a pritom zadržati sve prednosti Oracle serverskih tehnologija. Cilj je podržati migraciju na novu tehnologiju alatom koji bi u što većoj mjeri automatizirao sam proces i kao rezultat dao osnovu za daljnu modernizaciju korištenjem drugih dostupnih alata.
Automatizacija se sastoji od prevođenja Oracle Forms izvornih datoteka u Flex izvorne datoteke i prevođenja PL/SQL izvornog koda u ActionScript i Java kod.
Plan je podržati i generiranje Flex aplikacija direktno iz Oracle Designer alata, tako da se iskoriste sve prednosti tog alata i omogući potpuni "round-trip engineering".

Motivation for the project is leveraging alternative user interface techonolgies (specifically Adobe Flex), while keeping all advantages of Oracle server-side technologies. The goal is to provide automated migration tools which would generate Flex and Java applications and provide a basis for further modernization using other available tools.
The migration consists of automated Oracle Forms and PL/SQL source code translation into ActionScript and Java source code.
A plan also exists to provide support for Flex application generation directlry from Oracle Designer repository to enable complete round-trip engineering. -

Kako koristiti Oracle Policy Automation?
Oracle Policy Automation omogućuje organizacijama u javnom i privatnom sektoru da na djelotvoran način pružaju svoje usluge javnosti te postignu konzistentnost u utvrđivanju zakonskih pravila i obveza. Pomoću OPA-e se pravila definiraju u prirodnom jeziku, bez potrebe za IT znanjima te se na taj se način dobiva na brzini i fleksibilnosti u primjeni često promjenjive zakonske i ostale regulative.
Prezentacija će dati pregled OPA rješenja, njegovu primjenu i značajke. isto tako predstaviti ćemo osnovne dijelove rješenja te kako izgleda korištenje sustava u praksi - pogotovo iz kuta gledanja krajnjeg korisnika. This article talks about one such experience where the use of various development tools and their integration reached the desired goal. It will be mentioned the operability of proven Forms and Reports tools, the application and presentation of ADF technology's capabilities and their integration with BI Publisher, but also the use of Adobe Flex tools for data visualization, by using web services where that was possible or necessary.

Kako je počeo rat na mom desktopu
Ikonice Forms i Reports alata na mojem su desktopu živjele mirnim obiteljskim životom sve do onog trenutka kada se u njihovu blizinu doselio Jdeveloper. Njegova se ikonica sve češće dvoklikala te se jal između dviju obitelji svakodnevno povećavao. Dobro svjestan svojeg zvjezdanog statusa Jdeveloper je svakodnevno bahato ispijao svoju šalicu kave. Ali Forms i Reports su dobro znali da se konja koji pobjeđuje nikad ne mijenja, te su mu dali do znanja da se neće lako predati. Tako su počele tihe bitke između, inače mirnih, ikonica na mojem desktopu.
Gornje je priča, naravno, samo metaforički prikaz dvojbe jednog developera kojim putem krenuti, odnosno koji oracle razvojni alat izabrati. U radu će biti predstavljena mišljenja različitih forms i java developera, ali i osobno iskustvo autora sa stajališta klasičnog Forms i Reports korisnika.
How began the war on my desktop
Abstract
Forms and Reports tools icons lived a peaceful family life on my desktop until Jdeveloper moved into their neighbourhood. Its icon was more often double-clicked and envy between the two families grew daily. Well aware of his star status, Jdeveloper was every day arrogantly drinking his cup of coffee. But the Forms and Reports were well aware thet they should not change the winning horse, and they made it clear that they will not easily give up. Thus began the silent battles between otherwise peaceful icons on my desktop.
The upper story, of course, is only a metaphorical representation of a developer's doubt about which way to go, apropos which Oracle development tool to choose. The paper will delineate the different ways of thinking of forms and Java developers, but also the personal experience of authors from the standpoint of traditional Forms and Reports users.

Glavne karakteristike koje danas trebaju zadovoljiti moderne aplikacije su brza instalacija, mogućnost rada u ONLINE i OFFLINE okruženju te brzina (small footprint).
Često korištena baza podatka za lokalnu pohranu podatka je SQLite baza podatka. Njene glavne karakteriste su nepotrebna administracija, neovisnost, small footprint, jednostavnost.
Za razvoj aplikacija najčešće se koristi Java tehnologija. Osim brzine, Java tehnologija nam omogućuje i izradu atraktivnog korisničkog sučelja što je danas također jako bitno.
Za brzu instalaciju i dostupnost aplikacije klijentima odgovoran je Java Webstart.
U ovom radu ćemo prikazat konceptualan razvoj aplikacije primjenom navedenih tehnologija te naravno konkretan primjer.

The main features of modern applications is a quick installation, the ability to work in online and offline environment, and speed (small footprint).
Frequently used database for local storage of data is SQLite database. Its main characteristic are unnecessary administration, independence, small footprint, simplicity.
Most commonly technology used for application development is Java technology. In addition to speed, Java technology allows us to create attractive user interface and it is today very important.
Java Webstart is responisble for quick installation and availability of applications to clients.
In this paper we show conceptual development of applications using these technologies, and of course a real example. -

Alternativni jezici na java platformi
Prije 15 godina objavljen je programski jezik Java i započelo razdoblje popularizacije Jave kao programskog jezika ali i cijele Java platfome na kojoj je dugo praktički jedini korišteni programski jezik bila upravo Java. Zadnjih nekoliko godina naglo raste popularnost alternativnih programskih jezika na JVM (od kojih su neki kreirani prvenstveno za java platformu - groovy i scala; dok su drugi nastali prilagodbom otprije poznatih jezika - jruby, jython, clojure, i dr.). U ovom radu usporedit ćemo Javu prvenstveno s jezicima groovy i scala (najbolji kandidati za nasljednika Jave). Prikazat ćemo na primjerima kako ovi jezici olakšavaju mnoge programerske zadatke (funkcijsko programiranje, lakše paralelizacija i slično).

Abstract
Ever since programming language java was published 15 years ago the language and the entire Java platform have been becoming increasingly popular but throughout most of that time practically the only language used was java. In the last couple of years the popularity of alternative languages (some created primarily for the java platform - groovy and scala; and others created by porting existing languages - jruby, jython, clojure, etc.) that run on the JVM has been increasing. In this paper we will be comparing java to groovy and scala (arguably the best candidates to replace java). We will show using examples how features of these languages (functional programming, easier parallelization, etc.) can simplify many of the programming tasks. -

Mnogi korisnici EBS-a nisu svjesni mogućnosti koje dolaze sa verzijom 12.1. To nije samo još jedna verzija u nizu, nego je sveobuhvatno izdanje sa poboljšanjima za svaku poslovnu liniju (opskrbni lanac, nabava, upravljanje ljudskim potencijalom, financije, IT).
Osim sa proširenom funkcionalnošću koja eliminira skupe prilagodbe, BBS 12.1 dolazi sa unaprijeđenim korisničkim sučeljem, kao i sa mogućnostima za upravljanje aplikacijama. Uobičajeno pitanje korisnika je da li ostati na verziji EBS-a 11i i direktno nadograditi na Fusion Aplikacije. Za većinu korisnika optimalna strategija je nadogradnja na verziju 12.1 te zatim razmišljanje o dodatnim mogućnostima koje pružaju Fusion aplikacije.
U ovom predavanju osim pregleda funkcionalnosti verzije 12.1, pružiti će se uvid u vremenski okvir za podršku EBS-a, te uvid u Application Unlimited strategiju i utjecaj najave Fusion Aplikacija.
Evaluating and executing upgrades to Oracle e-Business Suite 12.1
Abstract
Many EBS customers remain unaware of the full breadth of capabilities delivered in 12.1. It is not merely a “dot” release, but is instead a comprehensive release with improvements for every line of business user (supply chain, procurement, HR, finance, IT).
In addition to expanded functionality that eliminates costly customizations, EBS 12.1 also delivers an improved user interface for end-users, as well as simple and predictable applications management capabilities.
A common customer question is whether to stay on EBS 11i and then upgrade directly to Fusion Applications when it is available. For most customers, the optimal strategy is to upgrade to EBS 12.1 first and then consider the additional value offered by Fusion Applications.

Upgrading applications in a production environment is a significant challenge. There is an increasing number of organizations that cannot tolerate any down time during application upgrades. To this aim, applications and underlying database systems must be able to support online upgrades.
Oracle RDBMS already provides HA solutions for both planned and unplanned outages.
As of Oracle 11.2 there is a new feature, edition-based redefinition, that enables DBAs and developers to upgrade an application's database objects while the application is in use, ensuring minimal or no down time. Telecom order management is the first in the system chain of the telecom operators (provisioning, billing, CRM) and as such it is the key factor on which depends a positive experience of an individual or a company. The task of order management is including new users and administration of existing users. This lecture will describe experiences in the development of T-HT order management and its architectural solution. There will be a brief description of technologies used in the making of the system, and the experiences in migration with Oracle Application Server platform to Bea Weblogic Server platform. -

Predavanje će pokazati kako za prijavu na Oracle bazu koristiti lozinke definirane u Active Directory-u i kako u takvom okruženju iskoristiti single sign-on mogućnosti Oracle application servera, s naglaskom na implementaciju izvedenu u Croatia osiguranju. Prikazat će se konfiguracija Enterpise User Security (EUS) opcije baze, uloga infrastrukturnih instanci Oracle aplikacijskih servera kao single sign-on i directory integration servera (SSO + ODISRV), OID, Oracle AD password filter i integracija Forms&Reports middletier-a u SSO infrastrukturu. Rješenje je izvedeno u active-active cluster konfiguraciji, poštujući zahtijeve visoke raspoloživosti uz postojanje disaster recovery lokacije, što čini potpunu sliku Oracle EUS/SSO arhitekture u CO.

This presentation will explain how to authenticate Oracle database users using passwords stored in Microsoft Active Directory and how to take advantage of single sign-on capabilities in Oracle application server in this kind of environment. We will concentrate on implementation done in Croatia insurrance company (CO). The following topics will be covered: configuring Enterpise User Security (EUS), the role of Oracle Single-Sign On (SSO), Directory Integration (ODISRV) and OID, Oracle AD Password Filter and details on integrating Forms&Reports middletiers in SSO environment. U sklopu opsežnog projekta izgradnje BI sustava izrađen je izvještajni sustav pomoću Oracle Business Intelligence izvještajnog alata. U predavanju ćemo pokušati objasniti probleme i načine koje smo riješili prilikom izrade izvještaja. Fokus je na konkretne implementacijske metode kod BI sustava koji koristi Essbase kocke kao izvor podataka. Opisati ćemo značajke repozitorija, answers dijela i integraciju BI Publisher alata. Neke od tema koje ćemo opisivati su: Rad s više kocki unutar jednog izvještaja, rad s vremenskom dimenzijom i vremenskim funkcijama, korištenje custom napisanih funkcija (evaluate), odnos kolona i filtera u answersima, razlozi korištenja BI Publisher alata.

Abstract
As part of an extensive project to build BI system, reporting system developed using Oracle Business Intelligence reporting tool was created. The presentation will try to explain problems and ways in which we resolved them when making reports. The focus is on concrete methods of implementing the BI system that uses Essbase cubes as a data source. We describe the features of the repository, answers, and integration of the BI Publisher tool.

Razvoj mobilnih aplikacija s ADF-om
Izlaskom nove verzije razvojnoga alata (11g R1 PatchSet 2) Oracle je predstavio poboljšani skup tehnologija integriranih u sam alat koje sada omogućuju razvoj mobilnih aplikacija na jedinstvenoj razvojnoj platformi. Tehnologija se zove ADF Mobile, naslanja se i proširuje na ADF. ADF Mobile omogućava razvoj mobilnih aplikacija u dva smjera: ADF mobile browser (pristup aplikaciji preko http-a i URL-a) i ADF mobile client (aplikacija na uređaju).
Ovaj referat ima za cilj pokazati cjelokupni ciklus razvoja i to: razvoj modela (prilagodbu modela podataka s obzirom na ograničenja SQL Lite baze), razvoj GUI-a te naposljetku na simuliranje rada i sinkronizaciju podataka između SQL Lite i produkcijske baze podataka.

Publishing of a new version of development tools (11g R1 PatchSet 2) Oracle has unveiled an enhanced set of technologies integrated into a tool that now allow the development of mobile applications on a single development platform. Technology called ADF Mobile extends ADF. ADF Mobile allows the development of mobile applications in two directions: ADF mobile browser (access via HTTP and URL) and ADF mobile client (application on the device). This paper aims to show the entire cycle of development including development of a model (customization of data model with respect to the limitations of SQL Lite database), GUI development and finally to simulate the application and synchronization of data between SQL Lite and production databases. -

U suvremenom poslovnom okruženju proizvodi se velika količina podataka u nestrukturiranom obliku. Upravo zbog nedostatka strukture samo mali postotak tih podataka se koristi kao temelj i podrška poslovanju. Izvlačenje informacija iz nestrukturiranih podataka gorući je problem, a tržištu nedostaju pravi ETL alati specijalizirani za procesiranje sirovog teksta i integraciju procesiranog teksta u data warehouse sustav.
Predavanjem će se, na osnovu teorijske podloge, predstaviti praktično rješenje ovog problema temeljeno na Oracle tehnologijama (Oracle Text, Oracle Warehouse Builder), odnosno kako od naizgled nepovezanog skupa riječi nastaje korisna poslovna informacija koja daje bolji uvid u vlastito poslovanje.
The integration of unstructured data in the DW
Abstract
In today's business environment large amount of data is produces in unstructured form. Because of that lack of structure, only a small percentage of this data is used as the basis and support for operations. Extraction from unstructured data is a burning issue, and the market lacks true ETL tools specialized for processing the raw text and integrating processed data into a data warehouse system.
The lecture will present a practical solution to this problem based on the theoretical basis and Oracle technology (Oracle Text, Oracle Warehouse Builder), and will show how the seemingly unrelated sets of words create a useful business information that gives better insight into business.

Izgradnja sustava podrazumijevala je isporuku opreme, softvera, instalaciju, podešavanje, edukaciju kao i pomoć u operativnom dijelu. Složena struktura Zidina zahtijevala je postavljanje ureda za prodaju ulaznica po cijelom gradu Dubrovniku.
Uz prodaju ulaznica putem blagajni, Interneta, agencija i mobilnih uređaja te kontrolu ulaza pomoću barkod čitača sustav predstavlja zaokruženu cjelinu koja ovoj instituciji pomaže u očuvanju ovog vrijednog spomenika kao i planiranju budućih aktivnosti u njegovom održavanju.

Construction of the ticketing system implied the delivery of hardware, software, installation, setup, training and assistance in operational work. Complex structure of walls itself required positionig of box offices all around Dubrovnik.
With box office sales, sales via Internet, retail outlets and mobile devices, and using access control solution with barcode readers, this system represents all-in-one solution which helps to preserve this valuable walls as well as for planning future activities in its maintenance. -

U velikim sustavima poput sustava za kartično poslovanje rade se razne obrade podataka kao što su generiranje faktura, uplata i terećenja bankovnih računa, te knjiženja. Nameće se izazov kako upravljati velikim brojem obrada, kako optimalno koristiti Oracle bazu, te kako imati pregled nad svim obradama. Batch procesi (jobovi) koje podržava Oracle nisu bili dovoljni za naše poslovanje, pa smo uveli enterprise job scheduler sustav – EJS. Time smo dinamički povezali obrade na Oracle bazi sa pripadnim ulaznim, tj. izlaznim datotekama i njihovim file transferima prema partnerima. Pojednostavljeno nadgledanje obrada olakšava operativni rad što povećava kvalitetu pruženih usluga.
Oracle job management using Enterprise Job Scheduler
Abstract
In large systems like card business systems, various data processing is going on such as invoice generation, payments and charges to bank accounts. There is a challenge how to manage a large number of data processing, how to optimally use the Oracle database, and how to keep an overview of all processing. Batch processes (jobs), supported by Oracle were not sufficient, so we have introduced enterprise job scheduler - EJS system to our business. This dynamically connects processing at the Oracle database with the corresponding input or output files. Integracija Infoart POSIA maloprodajnog sustava i SAP-a: različiti aspekti i skustva
Slučaj prvi: Infoart POSIA je već bio implementiran i uhodan sustav kada je klijent odlučio neke od svojih informacijskih podsustava zamijeniti na način da se implementira SAP (financije, veleprodaja i distribucija, HR). Sva sučelja prema podsustavima koje će SAP zamijeniti morala su se ponovo dogovoriti i razviti. Osim tih već postojećih sučelja, dodano je i još nekoliko novih. Ukupno je implementirano 17 sučelja (11 dolaznih i 6 odlaznih). Razmjena je izvedena preko XML poruka.
Slučaj drugi: SAP se uvodio paralelno sa Infoart POSIA sustavom. Implementirano je 8 sučelja (4 dolazna i 4 odlazna). Razmjena je implementirana kroz WebServise.
U članku je opisan proces dogovaranja i implementacije, problemi i zamke koji su se pojavili, te naša rješenja i iskustvo koje smo iz toga izvukli.
Infoart POSIA retail systems and SAP: The different aspects and experiences
Abstract:
First case: Infoart POSIA was already implemented and established system when the client chose to replace some of their information subsystems with SAP installation (finance, wholesale and distribution, human resources). All interfaces to the systems that were about to be replaced with SAP, had to be re-arranged and developed. In addition to these existing interfaces, a few new ones were added. A total of 17 interfaces were implemented (11 incoming and 6 outgoing). The exchange is performed via XML messages.
Second case: SAP is introduced in parallel with POSIA system. Eight interfaces were implemented (four incoming and four outgoing). The exchange is implemented through WebServices.
The article is exposing the process of negotiation and implementation, problems and pitfalls that have arisen, and our solutions and experience that we pulled out of it. -

Sustav prodaje ulaznica, kontrole ulaza i barijera za Nogometni klub Dinamo Zagreb
NK Dinamo Zagreb je sredinom lipnja 2010. godine uveo sustav prodaje ulaznica, kontrole ulaza i barijera na Stadionu Maksimir u Zagrebu. Sustav se sastoji od sljedećih elemenata:
- sustav prodaje ulaznica putem lokalnih blagajni na stadionu, Interneta (na stranicama www.ulaznice.hr) i agencija u prodajnoj mreži ulaznice.hr. Sustav prodaje ulaznica isporučila je i održava ga tvrtka DEKOD telekom;
- sustav kontrole ulaza kojim se nadograđuje već postojeće barijere i brojači (kentauri) koje je isporučila i kasnije održava tvrtka INsig2;
- ugradnja kliznih vrata, barijera i usmjerivača od strane tvrtke Metalis.
U ovom radu prikazat ćemo iskustva pri implementaciji sustava kojeg su u potpunosti izvele domaće tvrtke kao cjelovito rješenje.
Ticketing, access control and barriers system for FC Dinamo Zagreb
Abstract:
FC Dinamo Zagreb implemented ticketing, access control and barriers system at Maksimir Stadium in Zagreb during June 2010. The system consists of the following elements:
- ticket sales via box offices, Internet (site www.ulaznice.hr) and retail outlets network. Ticketing system was delivered and maintained by DEKOD telekom;
- access control system - upgrading of existing and implementing new barriers and counters, which was delivered and later maintained by company INsig2;
- installation of sliding gates, barriers, and routers by company Metalis.
In this paper we will show our experiences in implementing the whole system which was fully developed by Croatian companies. -

Upravljanje troškovima putem upravljanja nabavom
U ovom predavanju predstavit ćemo Vam implementaciju document management sustava za upravljanje nabavom u tvrtki Amadeus M.A.J. Sustav je obuhvatio evidentiranje potrebe za nabavom, prikupljanje i odabir najpovoljnije ponude, proces odobrenja nabave, te odobrenje i evidenciju plaćanja po nabavi. Tako uvedena kontrola nad generiranjem troškova Upravi Tvrtke omogućila je precizno planiranje troškova i plaćanja te nadzor nad provođenjem nabave i isporukom robe i usluga. Sam proces odobrenja nabave znatno se ubrzao jer je eliminirano kolanje papirnate dokumentacije radi prikupljanja potpisa i odobrenja unutar Tvrtke, a ujedno je omogućio uvid u dokumentaciju i odobrenje zahtjeva nabave sa bilo koje lokacije.

We will describe the implementation of document management system for internal procurement procedure in Amadeus M.A.J. System has included the registration of requirements, gathering and choosing the most favorable proposal, approval by management and registration of payment. Established control over expenses has provided precise planning of expenses and payment as well as the supervision of procurement and delivery of goods and services. Procurement process itself has become significantly faster and simpler due to elimination of paper documentation circling around the company for signatures and approvals. The system also provides full access as well as approval of procurement and payment from any location within or outside the Company. -

U današnjem svijetu globalizacije prevođenje postaje sve bitnije, pogotovo u području turizma. Tako se javila i potreba za prevođenjem misH aplikacije na druge jezike. Krenulo se od prevođenja izvještaja jer je za njih postojala XML customizacija, tj. izmjenjivanje izvještaja u vrijeme izvođenja bez promjena u originalnom izvještaju. Taj princip, u kojem uz osnovni izvještaj postoje datoteke na
različitim jezicima, uzet je i za prilagođavanje obrazaca. Obrasci su se morali daleko više prilagođavati zbog svoje složenosti i zbog toga što inicijalna verzija nije bila pogodna za prevodenje. Većina
problema je ujedinjena i obrasci su automatizirano promijenjeni pomoću Java sučelja za Oracle Forms (JDAPI).

In today's world of globalization, translation becomes more and more important, especially in the tourism sector. Thus, the need for translation of misH applications into other languages. We started from the translation of the reports because for them exists XML customization, which enables to modify reports at runtime without changing the original report. This principle, in which the original
report comes with files in different languages, was taken to adjust Oracle Forms. There was far more adaptation to make in Oracle Forms because its complexity and because the initial version was not

Integracija Oracle UCM I ERP Burin
U cilju podizanja kvalitete i sveukupne raspoloživosti sustava Oracle UCM, realizirano je rješenje kojim je omogućena integracija poslovnog sustava, BURIN, i sustava Oracle UCM (UCM). Rješenje je modul sustava BURIN. Realiziranim rješenjem, korisnicima je omogućeno povezivanje poslovnih podataka i pripadnih dokumenata između dva sustava. Rješenje je visoko parametrizirano. Na jednostavan način omogućuje integraciju infrastrukture UCM sa bilo kojim poslovnim sustavom u produkcijskoj uporabi. Ovisno o ovlastima, korisnicima je omogućena dostupnost prijavljenih sadržaja iz poslovnog sustava i iz sustava UCM.
Zašto smo krenuli u realizaciju integracije, kako i što smo njome postigli detaljnije će se obrazložiti u predavanju.
Integration Oracle UCM and ERP Burin
In order to improve the overall quality and availability of Oracle UCM, we realized a solution that enabled integration of business systems, BURIN, and the system of Oracle UCM (UCM). The solution is a module of BURIN. With realized solution, users are able to connect business data and related documents between the two systems. Solution is highly parameterized. It make simple integration of UCM infrastructure with any business system. Depending on the authority, it enables users to access content from a registered business system and the system of UCM.

Takav Web GIS portal postaje jezgra portala županije, grada ili općine, a njegovo proširenje ovisi samo o dostupnosti drugih podataka, zainteresiranosti ostalih subjekata i zahtjevima korisnika za njihovim korištenjem. Neke od mogućih primjena Web GIS portala su informiranje javnosti o turističkim lokalitetima, pregled i pretraživanje prostornih planova, objava i analiza komunalnih aktivnosti, itd. Abstract
Spatial representation of the data and use of interactive maps on the portal enables, in addition to visualization and transparent access to data, integration of information obtained from different systems and subjects. This kind of Web GIS portal is becoming the core of the county, town or municipality portal, and its expansion depends only on the availability of other data, other subjects’ interest and end user requirements for their use. Some of the possible applications of GIS Web portal are informing the public about the tourist sites, review and search of physical planning, publication and analysis of communal activities, etc. The article will describe development of such a GIS Web portal that is based on the OGC standards, Oracle and Java technologies. -

Korištenje GIS tehnologije za učinkovito upravljanje zelenim površinama
GIS Katastra zelenila Grada Zagreba je projekt koji omogućava uvid u kvantitativne i kvalitativne pokazatelje o zelenim površinama Grada. Osmišljen je s ciljem da se evidentira postojeće stanje zelenih površina te da se kreiraju izvještaji o tome koliko točno ima zelenih površina, gdje su smještene, u kakvom su stanju, koje su kategorije, u čijem su vlasništvu, te tko je nadležan za njihovo održavanje. Katastar zelenila integriran je u GIS sustav Grada Zagreba i time je omogućena analiza i izvještavanje iz tog sustava, korištenjem svih ostalih prostornih podataka (GUP, katastarske čestice, ulice, dozvole,…) u kombinaciji s podacima o zelenim površinama. Sustav je realiziran primjenom najnovijih Microsoft i Oracle tehnoloških rješenja.
Using GIS technology for effective management of green areas
Abstract:
Green Cadastre for City of Zagreb is GIS based project that gives insight to quantitative and qualitative data on green surfaces in the City. It’s designed to register current state of green surfaces, and based on that data, various kinds of reports are available. For example, how many green surfaces are there in the City, where are they located, are they in good shape, are they categorized, who is their owner or who is responsible for their maintenance. Green Cadastre is integrated with existing GIS system for City of Zagreb and therefore all other spatial data (urban planning, cadastral data, building permits, etc.) can be used and combined with data on green surfaces. This project is realized by using the Microsoft and Oracle solutions.

Prije dvije godine, na 13. HrOUG-u, izložili smo jedno od mogućih rješenja za povezivanje Oracle Spatial-a i Google Earth servisa. Navedeno rješenje bazirano je na mod_plsql-u i dinamički generiranim KML skriptama koje se prikazuju u Google Earth-u. Koristeći tu ideju, razvijena je aplikacija za pohranu i prikaz prostornih i atributnih podataka o elektroenergetskim objektima u HEP ODS d.o.o. Elektra Koprivnica. Ovim radom detaljnije su prikazane mogućnosti aplikacije i tehnologija na kojoj se ona zasniva (Oracle APEX, Oracle Spatial). Prikazana je i mogućnost exporta prostornih podataka iz AutoCAD-a i import u Oracle Spatial bazu podataka.
Oracle Spatial and Google Earth - Step two
Abstract
Two years ago, at the 13th HrOUG, we outlined a possible solution of how to connect Oracle Spatial and Google Earth service. The solution is based on mod_plsql and dynamically generated KML scripts that are displayed in Google Earth. Based on that idea, we have developed an application for storage and display of spatial and attribute data on electric power facilities in HEP ODS d.o.o. Elektra Koprivnica. This paper presents the detailed application features and technologies on which it is based (Oracle APEX, Oracle Spatial). It shows the possibility of exporting spatial data from AutoCAD and import of the same data into an Oracle Spatial database. -

U današnjim GIS sustavima čest je slučaj kombiniranja geoprostornih podataka iz različitih izvora što zajedno sa opsežnim načinima njihove upotrebe uvjetuje i različite izvorišne, odnosno odredišne referentne koordinatne sustave. Radi pravilnih izračuna i uklapanja geoprostornih podataka kritičan je pravilan odabir koordinatnog sustava i njegovih parametara. Kroz ovaj rad objasniti će se osnove geografskih, projekcijskih, vertikalnih i složenih referentnih koordinatnih sustava. Prikazati će se mogućnosti Oracle Spatial-a za baratanje predefiniranim koordinatnim sustavima, mogućnosti transformacija između pojedinih koordinatnih sustava te Oracle Spatial model podataka pomoću kojega možemo definirati vlastite koordinatne sustave i transformacije.
Coordinate systems, projections and transformations in Oracle Spatial
Modern GIS systems often contain geospatial data from many different data sources and regions. This, together with different possibilities for geospatial data usage, mandates the need to handle many different source and destination coordinate reference systems. In order to perform accurate calculations and mapping it is imperative that we choose a suitable coordinate reference system and its parameters for each of our datasets. This paper explains the basics of geographic, projected, vertical and compound coordinate reference systems, demonstrates Oracle Spatial's capabilities for coordinate system transformations and explains the Spatial's data model for defining custom coordinate reference systems and transformations. -

Dinamičko presijecanje geometrija u LRS sustavu koristeći Oracle Spatial
¸Jedna od ključnih potreba u sustavima baza cestovnih podataka jest informacija o površinama i duljinama cestovnih elemenata na određenoj dionici. Upiti o ukupnoj površini ili duljini određenih geometrijskih elemenata određenih položajem unutar linearno referencirane mreže nisu trivijalni ukoliko u obzir uzmemo činjenicu da zadane granice mogu presijecati tražene geometrijske elemente. U radu će biti objašnjeni osnovni algoritmi za presijecanje geometrija te implementacija sustava za dinamičko presijecanje geometrija u linearno referenciranom sustavu korištenjem Oracle Spatial-a. Biti će objašnjeni tipični problemi te načini njihovog rješavanja. Sustav je realiziran na bazi 10gR2 uz djelomičnu implementaciju na 11gR2 radi 3D izračuna.
Dynamic clipping of geometries in LRS using Oracle Spatial
One of the key requirements in road database systems is the information on area and length of road infrastructure elements on a particular road section. Queries about the area and length of geometry elements in respect with their emplacement on a linear referenced network are far from being trivial when we consider that given boundaries can intersect with these elements. This paper explains basic algorithms for geometry clipping and the implementation of a system for dynamic clipping of geometries in a linear reference system using Oracle Spatial. Solutions to common problems related to given task will also be addressed. The system is implemented in database 10gR2 with partial use of 11gR2 capabilities for 3D calculation.

GCS Strateške inicijative
Zamjenom MetaLinka My Oracle Supportom završen je višegodišnji proces integracije korisničkih portala i internih sustava za praćenje problema preko 50 kompanija koje je Oracle kupio. Korisnici su dobili jedinstveno sučelje za prijavu problema i pretraživanje baza znanja. Oracle je na raspolaganje dobio cjelovitu sliku korisnika, sa svim produktima koje upotrebljava i problemima. Dodatno, Configuration Manager omogućava korisniku da na jednostavan način na raspolaganje stavi i detaljne podatke o svojoj radnoj okolini i projektima.

Substitution of MetaLink with my Oracle Support marked the end of a multi-year effort, which resulted in integration of portals and call-tracking systems of more than 50 companies that Oracle acquired. Our users now have a single problem tracking and knowledge base search interface. And Oracle has a full picture of every customer, including product usage and problem tracking. In addition to that, Configuration Manager enables our customers to share detailed configuration and project data in a simple way.
In order to raise the service to another level and reduce the number of problems our customers encounter, we kicked off a number of global initiatives. Today we will explain what those mean for you.

The lecture is to familiarize attendees with the general rules of the successful use of Oracle Global Support Services , where will simultaneously be given comments and practical suggestions from user practices.
The aim of the lecture is to provide a simple and ilustrative transmission of informations which are necessary for successful use of Support and in the same time leave a minimal possibility of misunderstandings and false expectations. -

Advanced Customer Services (ACS) is a service that has already been used successfully for several years in Croatian companies that have larger business needs, using complex chains of Oracle technologies and work in a business-critical environments.
Migration, consolidation, performance optimization, consulting in the use of new technologies, joint work related to critical SRs and „on-site“ activities are just some examples of final results in working with Oracle Support engineers, who are thus becoming an integral part of Croatia Osiguranje d.d. Oracle Technology Team.

U cilju promicanja Oracle tehnologije u Oracle korporaciji su osmislili program s kojim se širom svijeta organizira sudjelovanje odabranih specijalista na konferencijama, simpozijima i sličnim događanjima. Kroz Oracle ACE program i formalno se okupljaju specijalisti Oracle tehnologije koji preuzimaju akreditacije za zastupanje i propagiranje. Oracle ACEovi se biraju na osnovu njihovog doprinosa i aktivnosti u Oracle zajednici. Predlagati ih mogu svi iz aplikatvnog ili tehološkog dijela zajednice. Prepoznaju se dva nivoa - Oracle ACE i Oracle ACE Director. Kandidati trebaju za oba nivoa zadovoljiti osnovne zahtjeve, uz obavezu Oracle ACE Directora da su tješnje i formalno povezani sa Oracleom u pogledu terminiranja njihovih aktivnosti u zajednici. Nominaciju razmatra odgovarajući Oracleov Komitet za nominacije i odlučuje o nominaciji.

In order to promote the Oracle Technology Oracle Corporation have created a program through which all over the world are organizing the participation of selected specialists at conferences, congresses and similar events. Through the Oracle ACE program formally gather Oracle specialists who take the accreditation for the representation and advocacy. Oracle ACEs are selected based on their contributions and activities in the Oracle community. Candidates are nominated by anyone in the Oracle Technology and Applications communities. Recognize two levels: Oracle ACE and Oracle ACE Director. Candidates are required for both levels to meet the basic requirements, provided Oracle ACE Director that are more closely and formally linked with Oracle regarding the terms of their activities in the community. Apex "Custom authentication"-an essential concept in any Apex application.
What is it and what are its advantages and when use it. How to generalize and thus incorporate the use of multiple applications simultaneously. In doing so, provides the interface to other (non Apex) applications such as Java, MS. NET etc.
How to set on the level of individual users many features ("inactive timeout", "locking counter" handling, "nominal startup page", "nominal number rows when display tables", solid security model with the mail system solutions, unique passwords for multiple applications).
How to create a secure automatic "external" authentication from Oracle Forms (Java, MS. NET etc) applications to the Apex application.
All supported by examples and "out of the box" solution. -

Integracija nezavisne DHTML komponente u APEX aplikaciji unutar OBI sustava
Oracle Application Express (APEX) je alat za brzi razvoj poslovnih aplikacija. Korisnik kroz internetski preglednik razvija aplikaciju koristeći predefinirane komponente. Ponekad te komponente ne zadovoljavaju sve potrebne zahtjeve, primjerice, za složenu manipulaciju podataka iz Excel datoteke. U tom slučaju funkcionalnost se može proširiti nezavnisnom AJAX komponentom. U ovom radu opisana je integracija komponente dhtmlxGrid u APEX aplikaciju na primjeru unosa podataka iz Excel datoteke u skladište podataka, poštujući poslovna pravila filtriranja i mapiranja podataka prema zahtjevima korisnika. Navedena aplikacija razvijena je u svrhu proširenja funkcionalnosti Oracle BI sustava u sklopu stvarnog projekta.
Integrating independent components in APEX DHTML applications within the OBI system
Abstract
Oracle Application Express (APEX) is a rapid application development tool that provides a web interface for creation of database driven web applications. Due to the declarative nature of APEX, provided components cover a limited scope of functionality that has to be extended for some tasks. This paper describes the integration of APEX application and a third party AJAX-enabled grid component, dhtmlxGrid. As an example of successful integration we describe an application for importing data from Excel files into data warehouse, taking into account business rules such as data filtering and mapping. This application was crated as a real project intended to extend the functionality of Oracle BI. -
