This presentation highlights and demonstrates many of the new features in the upcoming Oracle JDeveloper 11g release, including improvements to editing, profiling, source controlling, testing, comparing, generating, merging, and deploying applications built with Java, XML, SQL, PL/SQL, Web Services and UML artifacts. The newly-integrated SQL Developer capabilities for core database development are also explained. In addition, the talk will briefly cover new functionality in EJB3/JPA persistence, web services development and testing, and the Oracle ADF development framework.

Steve Muench is the Consulting Product Manager on the Oracle
JDeveloper development team at Oracle Corporation. Since 1990, he has supported, developed, and evangelized Oracle's tools and XML technologies, and he continues to provide customer-focused technical guidance for their ongoing enhancement. In 2006 he co-authored the "Oracle ADF Developer's Guide for Forms/4GL Developers", a free manual that accompanies product, and in 2000, he wrote "Building Oracle XML Applications" (O'Reilly).
